A readjustment of my previous post, it looks like the center is about 60 miles east of the Gulf. I'd guess 6 to 10 hours before it re-emerges, meaning likely sometime overnight.

The Everglades are flat and swampy...I expect very little weakening tonight and it will reemerge much quicker than we thought....into the GOM by later tonight/early AM

Katrina is probably not going to weaken all that much over Florida... I expect 60mph+ when she enters the GOM... NHC said 50mph...
