Stupid question of the day

#1 Postby NC George » Sun Aug 28, 2005 10:32 pm

Talking head on CNN goes to weatherperson, who points out current TORNADO WARNING FOR NOLA. Talking head asks if tornado is related to hurricane, or a separate event? Doh! There's a Cat 5 hurricane 150 miles away, it's outer bands are over the area in question, and you have to ask if the events are related?

She went on to explain vorticity and ground shear causing tornadic development, and he replied that he would work that into a conversation in the future. I guess CNN is off my list of channels to watch for tonite and tomorrow, I think I like MSNBC best at the current time.

Remember, talking heads, most of the time, ask the questions for the benefit of the viewer who may not know the answer. I'm pretty sure Aaron Brown knows it's related. Many viewers may not; hence, the question.
