Chris Collura's report on katrina.

His chase log. He estimates at landfall along MS coast sustained winds 150mph gust to 180mph.

great read, especially if you see the video footage posted elsewhere on here associated to this. still doubt the 234kt wind speed at 866mb though. :roll:

That was amazing - I especially liked seeing the hurricane hunter plane ride! That was awesome!
