That duststorm will inhibit CV formation for a long time. Check the SAL it created.

Very creative, Sandy. Keep it up!

You can see very well in that picture that the Tropical Atlantic is devoid of significant convection. This is a sign that we are currently in the dry MJO phase.

No, it is indicative that the Sahara desert has opened an outlet in what used to be the Tropical Atlantic. And since it is getting worse, not better, forget about tropical development affecting the Lesser Antilles this year, that is good, the bad thing is we will be choking on dust till Christmas.

geez i have heard the word SAL so many times this year do i need to be concered with the east atlantic filling in with sediment?
