The further east she goes the greater chance of getting as far south as SE Fl.
The angle when going SW gets a little scary for us.
Hopefully, it will not get very east unless it just continues heading that way and not returning!

Maybe it is alittle BOLD...But with the set-up in place and the High to the North moving South, where else is she to go? Especially if she does move further EAST then they expect and when she turns back to her WSW loop, it's South Florida and not Northern Florida that will be in her path. Things can change and always do, but until I see that High breaking down, I will continue calling for a S Florida connection.ncdowneast wrote:calling alandfall now is just sort of out in left field the pros say they have little confidence in the track forecast so naming aparticular county is bold!

This is the reason that S. FL is still in the 5 day cone. Remember what the NHC has been saying since Charley last year - don't follow the center line - look at the cone! Until it's well away from us and we're not in the cone anymore, I'm keeping an eye on Ophelia.
I agree, if your in the cone you best keep a close eye on her.
