WOW! That was an amazing read especially since we were out of the country during Katrina and only had CNN for coverage. They did fairly well but reading the day by day reports puts a whole new perspective on the birth, growth and landfall.

Those reports, especially right before landfall, are quite chilling to read in light of what has happened. Of course I wasn't able to follow the tense hours right before landfall because I was in the parking lot known as the Interstate... :lol:
