Katrina footage by Jim Leonard

#1 Postby Dave C » Sat Sep 17, 2005 8:01 pm

I just viewed Katrina footage from Jim and it's awesome stuff! He intercepted just north of Miami and the third landfall in Slidel Louisiana. The second landfall he got the western part of the eye. Total footage time is 1 hour and he has it available on DVD. Here's his website.

I have also seen his video and it is pretty neat. Also, you should see his video from Ivan last year. He was in Pensacola and I bet if some of you saw it, you'd think twice about thinking Pensacola only recieved Cat 1 winds.

Katrina kind of proved that Pensacola only went through cat 1 sustained, as verified by all wind surveys and recordings.

Cat 1 winds are beyond most people's comprehension. Trust me, I just went through them and you could hear the howl they create inside of a concrete bunker of a building that I work in

Real cat 3 winds, Like MS went through, starts to disintegrate many structures
