Houstonian in Germany on Business (watching Rita closely)

#1 Postby dgspms2 » Mon Sep 19, 2005 5:20 pm

Hello All,

My Husband, and I, are in Aachen Germany for business for the next 2 weeks. The communications here, in English, are minimal at best. We get CNN International and BBC World, as far as Television stations. Our internet access is limited to 6pm-9am daily (don't ask me why). I am so very thankful for Storm2k, as a reliable resource. I don't know what we would do so very far away, during this stressful time without you folks.

We are very concerned about our families and not being able to get back home to them. However, we are most concerned about my mother-in-law and sister-in-law who live in Pasadena. My sister-in-law is severely handicapped, and my mother-in-law is elderly. We are watching every post trying to make sure to get them out at the earliest possible.

Thanks for all the information,
Patty

Welcome to storm2k, Patty. I wish your family the best of luck and hopefully it will just change course and stay away. It's still 4 days out.

Chances are I am taking a less than educated guess that sounds good because 10 years ago I stole Mike Watkins book 'The Hurricane and its Impact'.
