Roxanne, 1995, and Rita, 2005: Same Fate?

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Tue Sep 20, 2005 11:31 pm

Only two "R" names have been used since storms have been named; Roxanne, 1995, and Rita, 2005.

It's interesting to say that like Rita will probably be, Roxanne was a destructive hurricane that hit very hard the Peninsula of Yucatan and Belize. Because of this, the name was retired and replaced by Rebekah.

Now comes Rita, and if all the forecasts come unfortunately to reality, Rita will suffer the same destiny Roxanne had.

In conclusion, after 2005, there will be 2 "R" names used, and if Rita is as destructive as predicted, then there will be 2 retired "R" names.
