Just east of Sabine Pass. 3:40 AM reported from the nhc then from fox news.

Also, made landfall officially as a Cat 3 with winds of 121mph/This being reported on Fox News, and MSNBC

Eye is head right for Port Aurthur/Beaumont. It looks like they might just be on the west side (which is good). Even a few miles can make a big difference at this point.

well my Storm Chasing buddy hunkered up there in a concrete car parking lot in Beaumont. Reports no power so not actually getting to see anything.

Yeah i know if your talking about Mark sudduth I am watching him now sitting in his tahoe. He measured a gust of 114 so far with sustained winds anywhere from 75 to 95 mph. He is in that northern eyewall His last pressure reading a few mins ago was 942mbs. This storm has alot of rain in it.
