This is a little off topic...Wasn't Cantore in Gulfport at the retired navy guys' home or something like that when Katrina made landfall? Last I saw before our power went out, he was standing outside talking about a sheet of plywood that almost hit them, then he was on the cell phone talking to TWC saying the water was about 3 or 4 feet deep in the parking lot. Then our power went off. Never heard how bad it got where he was.

Wonder if that's why he's in Houston? Think Katrina skeered him? :eek:


How bad it got: he and his producer ended up having to sandbag the second floor with everyone else that was at the AFRH due to the huge surge. I think it really did scare him--it sure would have knocked some storm-lovin' out of me.
