I know, right? Wilma is in no way a midget...

Katrina at peak:
KATRINA REMAINS A VERY LARGE HURRICANE. HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 105 MILES FROM THE CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 230 MILES.

Wilma at 0600z today:
HURRICANE FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 85 MILES FROM THE CENTER...AND TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS EXTEND OUTWARD UP TO 200 MILES

Why everyone seems to think Wilma is small is beyond me.

superimpose an image of wilma and put it next to Katrina. Katrina does now 'dwarf' Wilma.

Not as far as wind radii are concerned, which is all that really matters in the end.

I wonder what kind of winds Cozumel is getting...Id assume they are approaching 100 mph because the western eyewall is getting close.
