I'm back!

#1 Postby thefixed » Fri Oct 28, 2005 2:54 pm

Hurricane Wilma was something, it toppled almost all of my trees in my yard and the entire street (seriously) was covered with limbs. The roads were very very hard to navigate up until Wednesday or so and you had to drive on the wrong side of the street in many cases. My friend's neighborhood doesn't have garages and the roof tiles smashed virtually all of their windshields. A marina right over here by me crashed into the water along with all of the boats inside. And right by the marina, telephone pole after telephone pole lay on the ground in the middle of the road with the glass from the light's dome on all over. I have a few pictures..

Two shots of the marina, that's the roof you see and it used to be well above the palm trees

An intersection the the lights hanging from a thread..later after driving around some more, I discovered that this one is actually in pretty good shape, most of the rest don't even have the lights. They're just thrown all over the ground

I'm still without power, but I'm running off a generator as we speak. Who knows when I'll get it back...

Well I am right by the Palmetto exit on 95 and I've heard of people in West Boca getting power as well as those up in northern Boca by Delray, makes me jealous..
