Where does season end/begin?

Just say hypothetically we have a named system each month from December to May......

When do you stop using current season storm names and start new season storm names?

Maybe December would be the last of current season and January would start with A?

Does anyone know for sure the answer?

Yes. Hurricane Ekaka formed in the Central Pacific in late January, and they used the first of the next season's names.
