My dad is in Miami, and not having been through a hurricane while living down there, he doesn't know what to do. He plans on going to a Wal-Mart tonight and get some supplies, but after all this talk, is it even neccessary? I mean, you guys say this event is over.

Make that 150 Miles..We nailed another Brent..Along with a few others here...

My local met Dennis Phillips...said Models have a hard time with these systems. Novemeber systems in weak steering currents. Yada Yada. Good Guess though.

GAMMA: THREAT OR NO THREAT?

Threat to Florida - 1 and 1/2
No Threat to Florida - 4 and 1/2

The threat to Florida has decreased.

Currently, IMO Gamma only poses a minimal risk to S Fla. Why? Well, I think it will fall apart as a tropical system. The shear is eating Gamma up. By Monday Gamma will only be a remnant low as I see it. S. Fla might see some gusty winds down in the Keys though.......MGC

Tell him to go buy 5 gallons of water, a first aid kit and some batteries and a flashlight. It should do nothing at all at this point. Of course this morning was a different story, and these things have a mind of their own. It'll settle his mind :)
