Will December see another storm?

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Sat Nov 19, 2005 5:52 pm

Over the last few years we have seen some storms forming in December. In 2003, Odette developed in the Caribbean Sea and Peter in the central Atlantic. In your opinion, and how this hurricane season has been, do you think December will procreate a storm or was Gamma our last visitor?

I think it's possible for storm to form in December, specially early in the month, even though historically speaking, December is a harsh month for tropical systems to develop. Let see what happens, we may get Delta. Stay out because this is the 2005 HURRICANE SEASON.

OPINIONS ARE ALWAYS WELCOMED.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Well, it really isn't yes or no question. We can't predict the future there isn't any way of knowing. It would be a 50/50.

I put 50/50 because I'm surely not going to say 100% either way, we just can't be certain. I do think that formation is more around 65% likely, though.

The way I see it is that this year has been anything but normal so I would not be surprised if we see a named storm and a snow storm along the Gulf Coast. (Of course that is my crazy insane opinion and is not a forecast) Just been a crazy year for the weather.

Next season could be even more crazy then this year was if you can even imagine that! lol Farmers Almanac "forcasts" a cat 4 hurricane hitting NY! Way to close for comfort to where I am! lol

farmers alamanc says nothing about intensity.but can you imagine a 100+ billion dollar storm(Katrina) and a 1+ TRILLION dollar storm(NYC due to its size) hitting within a year
