I was looking for a correlation between unusually warm GOM deep water temps (buoy 42003) and future hurricane activity. I couldn't find anything too intriguing, but posted the data anyway. 2005 (27/14/7), 2003 (14/7/3), 2000 (14/8/3), 1998 (14/10/3), 1996 and 1995 had a water temp at or above 25.3. The other years weren’t even 24C.
