This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

You're not funny, jax. You're just trying to sound innocent.

Look at the damage pictures and put yourself in the position of people that have to wake up every day and deal with what you are seeing. Then ask yourself if what you are about to post would offend or upset you if you lived in a storm damaged area. If the answer is yes then dont post! Lets not add to the anguish and despair of the people affected by last years storms. Nuff said.

I know this is late in coming; but I just recently checked this thread for the first time in a while and I couldn't agree more with some of the sentiments expressed herein, and just previous. you DO NOT know what it's like unless your living AT Ground Zero, so please spare us condescension about how "really lucky" we are! and/or that things weren't "really that bad!" This kind of stuff is beyond insensitive, it's insulting. My heart goes out to all those affected by Rita, whether Texas, Louisiana, or Timbuktu (okay, that's sarcasm), it was a horrible storm and did enormous damage to the lives and property of those most adversely affected. I know what it's like to see a long-dragging recovery effort in a decimated area, and feel only sincere empathy for others who do as well, and rest assured, those souls in SW La. and SE Texas number among those individuals. God Bless 'em!
