There are many microbes (germs in unscientific terms) including yeast, mold, viruses, bacteria and fungi that can live outdoors all the livelong day. Many are susceptible to UV radiation, salt, water or air, but many pathogens will not be killed simply by being outdoors or blown on the wind.

Not a biologist but I have passed college microbiology and life sciences classes, and saying something along the lines of "almost all germs die outside their hosts in minutes" is a pretty optimistic generalization, IMHO.

Of course it's true what everybody's saying -- there's plenty to make you sick after a major disaster without needing germs to be imported by the winds.

Short for condominiums.

Stormtruth can't seriously expect people to expend tons of hard earned cash purchasing pricey real estate during a hurricane! :roll:
