Headline of my local paper yesterday

"Hurricane Stoppers"

a couple of "scientists" think by cooling a large area of ocean ahead of the storm using millions of giant pumps they can weaken Hurricanes. They refer to it as a Billion dollar concept. I dont know about you but I wouldn't want my tax dollars to go toward this "Scientific" reasearch.

What kind of science is this? I laughed out loud when I read it.

Think about all the fish they'd be killing, another waste of money by people trying to control the weather.

I think all of these stupid scientists should just stop trying to weaken hurricanes before landfall when rather they should be stopping expansion of coastline to lessen the devastation. Hurricanes distribute heat and keep the climate going in a normal rate and if you mess with them then over time our climate could drastically change and cause even worse damage than what a Cat 5 might do to a small area of coastline.
