Today's Wave Arrival...

#1 Postby Frank2 » Tue Aug 08, 2006 3:00 pm

The wave seen on satellite to be just off the southeast Florida coast is here - yipes - the weather went from partly sunny and feeling fairly dry (DP around 69 or 70) to heavy overcast and a DP of probably 75, or even a degree or two higher, in just one or two hours.

The local NWS discussion mentioned a PWAT of over 2 inches for tonight - we could use the rain...

It's arrival was very impressive - something like a sky version of high tide - guess that's why it's call a wave (haw)...

I heard about the prediction of loud storms for South Florida. Quiet storms forecasted for East Central Florida I guess. 8-)

My Dad in the Keys said it was very, very breezy there today and you could tell the disturbance was affecting them
