This is a blog of a local forecaster that is updated daily, he does a pretty good job analyzing the storm:

If you can remember the past few years in this area even a minimal Cat 1 is quite a nuisance and can do some serious flooding and damage.

Pretty in-depth from Chad Watson on Live 5 News. Well, I have to strike that feeling before that I thought he was just another broadcaster. Nice write-up from Chad from Live 5.

Is he new? I don't watch channel 5 all the time, but did not recognize him.

I never in a million years thought that Ernesto could possibly have an effect on us. I was in the mode that since the season hasn't been active that this year I could just forget about hurricane preparations.

I couldn't do that, forgetting ... Alberto gave me a heads up that the potential hurricane corridor that was setting up for 2006 could be one that puts the region in peril for something later.

I've been wondering all day (since the track shift) how this might affect the Low Country. I'm A LOT surprised that he thinks we could have CAT 1 to CAT 2 conditions on our coast. Thank you for the link and please keep updating the thread if you get any new info.

Watch and wait.

Thanks from Savannah.
