Finally figured Ernesto out

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

E is for Enigmatic.

What is it with these "E" named storms -- Ernesto, Elena, Epsilon -- that make them so dang hard to pin down? It's like we have to throw everything we think we know about tropical weather forecasting out the window. We think a storm can't plow through a ridge, only to find out the ridge is much weaker than forecast...this one has stumped the best forecasters. So what makes ya think I'm gonna even try to forecast this one? All I can say is everyone in the path of this one, be safe and be prepared.
