Apology for "french meteorologist" plagiarism

#1 Postby LeeJet » Sat Sep 09, 2006 5:11 pm

Bonjour,

I did indeed commit an act of plagiarism on this forum, by way of inserting false text into a real article written by the Associated Press. The inserted text said that there was a French meteorologist left on Wake Island right before Hurricane Ioke. It was a morbid form of humor, because I was listening to all these people say that this imaginary man was going to die, including a particulary memorable quote which said he was "French Toast."

Having said that, I am very sorry for breaking the rules and it will never happen again. I appreciate the Storm2k team giving me a second chance, for I thought they would have been harsher than Ioke on the French man

Again, thanks for the opportunity, and I apologize for breaking the rules.

I guess I will be the first to post. We all make mistakes and I believe everyone deserves a second chance. Sooo... Its all good here. That would of been awesome if that had happened and the French Meteorologist had lived to tell us his story especially with Ioke being so strong and being on a tiny island such as that.
