This is the 144 Hour from a couple of different models 500mb showing high pressure across the Atlantic.

GFS shows a trough out in the Central Atlantic but, whatever is out there now doesn't deveolop. We should probably hope for above normal shear in the western atlantic once there is no Upper Level Lows out there to kill something later in the forecast period.

It's a bit premature to claim an early closure to the season, however I wouldn't mind if we get through it with nothing.

After two years of hurricane hits culminating in Wilma, I'm delighted for the respite. :)
