TWC tropical update @ 6:50 pm
Did I miss something or was the whole tropical update focused on Lane and the Pacific?? Since when do we live on the West coast of Mexico? Wonder why they did not mention what's happening in the Atlantic?

Well,I think they are right to focus on Hurricane Lane as it has made landfall as a major cane that will affect and is affecting thousands of people in that region. The systems in the atlantic are out to sea now and there is no urgency to discuss about them,But once Lane is gone they will focus in the Atlantic again.

Makes sense I suppose, but one would think since TWC is in the US, they'd focus more on weather events that could eventually have an impact on the US. (or at least give some air time to the atlantic storms for those of us interested in them

most of the tourist hotels on the mexican coast likely has satellite that has the weather channel. And actually moisture from Lane is forecast to create a possible major flooding situation in texas over the next few days, as his moisture gets drawn in to the u.s. In fact our local NWS office in Illinois is thinking of issuing a flood watch thanks to his moisture coming up here sunday night/monday morning when a frontal area approaches. So it IS an issue that will effect the u.s.
Sorry end rant.
