do you believe in them?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

When a psychic correctly predicts the year that a cat. 3 or 4 hurricane will strike New England, is the year I started believing in their predictions. I use this as a good example because the area is hit by monster storms so rarely, unlike say Florida (anyone could guess such a Florida event and have a good chance for the law of averages to work in their favor). As they say:

"Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof."

True, but that guy was more a wannabe scientist than a psychic. He was going by Lunar Cycles, and just happened to call it right via dumb luck, but he was still using some type of (what he at least thought) was a natural predictor. He didn't just get a vision out of the blue, or something like that

There are other more serious things, but I won't talk about those. And one of the things on that list...is correct

o0. I found a new website on psychic predictions. there is one on this page that I found that I am paying attention to. it reads:
2006...A Powerful Year to Come.
Posted on: Friday 06 January 2006 @ 22:16:27
FireRat writes"2006 will be a year of powerful events both good and bad. On the good side, business in general will improve. However, the year will once again bring large natural disasters like last year. 2006 is the chinese year of the Fire Dog, a strong year that has the potential for bringing terrible catastrophes. 2006 is a ¨number 8¨ year in numerology (2+0+0+6 equals 8), ¨number 8¨years are also powerful and tend to be big business years. That´s how this year should be, a year of terrible Natural Disasters, yet a Significant business year. There could be an earth-fire related disaster, being an earthquake or Volcano in April or May. The hurricanes in 2006 will be historic not because of how many there will be, but because of their high strength when making landfall. A Category 5 hurricane will actually strike land this year. The caribbean islands,Florida, and the rest of the East coast of the U.S. are at highest risk between August and November, especially the 2nd week of September. January (now) could bring powerful earthquakes, especially AROUND Jan. 8th, the 17th, and the 26th

-The 3-year drought, which began in 2005, worsens in 2006, causing crop failure and adding to death of the elderly. Places that need rain will not receive it; places that don’t need it will receive too much.

keep in mind these are said by different people.

-Weather/Disasters
-------------
* Atlanta's turn to feel the wrath of a hurricane this year. Should
be little more than a tropical storm, but two deaths coming related
to the rain. This one feels like mid-September.
* Two Asian quakes coming. The first will be in Pakistan in August.
It will be minor compared to others, but about 200 will die. Indonesia
will see a sea quake in December. Minor wave effects, but no tidal
wave.
* I see no terror attacks on US soil in 2006 or 2007. I see one attempt
that is thwarted in late November before it reaches US soil.
* Lots of flooding in Chicago this winter and spring. *Far* more than
usual.
* No serious California quakes this year. Just more of the same.
* One more ash plume from Mt St Helens coming in April. Not a major
explosion.

my proof is http://www.prophecies.us/index.php it is in kinda the middle of the page. there are many predictions.

The caribbean islands,Florida, and the rest of the East coast of the U.S. are at highest risk between August and November...........That is not much of a prediction at all. Those are areas that are affected by systems and the peak of the season. We here as no psychic's know this and the board has been talking sst's in the GOM as higher than last year at the same time.A prediction for me would be location(city,100mile area) and time within 48 hrs.

On page one of this thread there are exact dates of prediction but, I don't think any psychic has picked any certain cities with dates.

No doubt I agree completely I am a total skeptic I mean a tropical storm for Atlanta huh a storm that is a Cat 5 at landfall has not happened (yet) as have nothing else on this list really so why would anyone give this person any credibility. The problem with psychics is that everyone seems to recall the 5% they get right and ignore the 95% they got wrong.

Anyone on here can guess that there will be several plane crashes next year and be right because every year a few planes crash, if you want to make a believer out of me show me proof predict something that is inrefutable, the same goes for UFO's, ghost, Big Foot and the multitude of sea monters you would think by now someone would have some kind of video or other proof that cannot be denied but alas noone has.

Make enough predictions and a few of them are bound to be right. The problem is, nobody ever keeps statistics on the vast number of wrong predictions.
