Just wanted to post this. Here is a rare and good loop of most of Katrina's life as a hurricane or tropical storm, including it just after it's first U.S. landfall in southeast Florida and it's entire path through the Gulf of Mexico to it's second landfall and several miles inland.
Just wanted to post this, as it's an intriguing loop find. Enjoy!
Great loop: Katrina in the Gulf of Mexico

What a monster. I'll never forget the morning I awoke to a 175mph cat 5 on Sunday, the day before landfall. Then the landfall, the total devastation, human suffering, etc. Just a few days after landfall I was speaking with some friends telling them that our season wasn't close to being finished and I was worried about another storm threatening LA before the end of the season. Sure enough Rita comes along, not even a month later, even stronger, devastating more areas of Louisiana including near my own. I'll never forget the 2005 season, 2006 has been a blessing!!
