The following post is NOT an official forecast and should not be used as such. It is just the opinion of the poster and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. It is NOT endorsed by any professional institution including storm2k.org For Official Information please refer to the NHC and NWS products.

2pm Update: Isaac Becoming Extratropical

Latest satellite imagery, indicate that Issac is weakening and rapidly losing tropical characteristics. As of the 2pm Intermediate Advisory, the NHC placed the center of Issac at 44.3N 55.0W and is moving to the NNE at 40mph and has been downgraded to a tropical storm with winds at 50kts.

Issac is currently moving east of the forecast track and should pass east of New Foundland. However as Issac becomes extratropical this afternoon, it’s wind field will expand and TS force winds will still likely be felt across the Avalon Peninsula, where a TS Warning is still in effect.

I will not have any more forecasts on this storm. Please refer to NHC and CHC products for future information and emergency planning.
