This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Recently joined, but intend to be here all-year - mostly in the tropics, because even when the Atlantic is quiet, elsewhere isn't!

I'm here year round, even though my life has gotten busy with school. However, I am more eager to log in here during hurricane season.

I admit I'm here much more immediately prior to and during Atlantic hurricane season. But I do hang about all year.

I lurk most of the year but come out of the wood work when there is any activity in the Atlantic Basin. So,

Probability of me lurking Jan - May => 90-100%
Probability of me lurking Aug-Sept =>

I pop in to read usually daily during the hurricane season and about once a week throughout the year. I don't post much anymore regardless.

I check in sometimes during the winter but truthfully, I'm so glad when hurricane season is over, I don't want to even think about it. The *other* season here picks up, more people are around, I'm busier in the gardens...so hurricane season is hurricane season and the rest of the year is mentally relaxing bliss (well, until we get one of those crazy rains...) 8-)

Even though S2K has many forums, I rarely visit the board outside of the Atlantic hurricane season especially since political posts have been banned.

I've hardly ever posted here outside of hurricane season. I do find my way here to lurk once a month or so, but there isn't much winter weather here to speak of.

Actually, this is probably my first post here in 6-8 weeks.

I don't get to post much, even during hurricane season. I enjoy reading the posts and learning as I don't have a lot of time for research on my own. As for hanging around after hurricane season, I usually stop in about once a week to check things out. This is a great place to visit any time of year!
