seems like CBS4 finally has some competetion when a hurricane nears the coast. Still give the slight edge to Nrocross only due to experience on the television during a landfall as he has he most experience at this from this perspective (and seems to have control over the station when a Hurricane Warning is in effect... CBS4 was the only station to provide continuous live coverage during Dennis when the Keys were under a warning

ABC 10 should also invest in a sister station.

In Frances and Jeanne, they left the continous coverage for ABC college football, while the CBS and NBC stations dumped the games onto their sister stations

At least I get WPLG here in Boca Raton ,but I don't get Norcross up here, you have to love the cable companies.

That is definitely a ratings coup for WPLG. I look forward to flipping back and forth to CBS and ABC down here the next time get the unfortunate arrival of a storm. The upside is that at least we will have some VERY smart folks giving us the news instead of a weather guy with amazing hair!

We get TV stations for the treasure coast here in Boca Raton which makes no sense. I don't listen to their weather forecasts because the treasure coast is usually about 5-10 degrees cooler than Palm Beach County's coast during the winter due to the close proximity of the Gulf stream current to Palm Beach County (and not the treasure coast).

I agree Boca Raton is 85 miles south of Fort Pierce and 32 miles from Miami. It makes no sense to get treasure coast channels. Why don't we just acquire the Orlando market which makes as much sense as they have it now.

i've met Don Noe (WPLG tv weatherman)...i think this is just great news for WPLG and for all of the viewers of South Florida!
Max Mayfield deserves to keep doing what he does best, he needs to be heard in times of hurricane crises (sp) and he will be now.
YAY im happy.

Fantastic. I'll be watching 10 this season.

During Andrew, I must have been the ONE South Floridian NOT watching Bryan. I was watching channel 7, which at the time did perfectly adequate coverage.

I like Bryan, but give Max the edge over him.

What will probably happen is that I'll end up flipping back and forth between the channels. But having those two is a win-win situation for us.

I'm glad he found a job locally.

Guess I'll be splitting my viewing this year. I do still appreciate Bryan Norcross.
