AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE...THE REMNANT OF SUBTROPICAL STORM ANDREA...
IS CENTERED ABOUT 445 MILES EAST-NORTHEAST OF DAYTONA BEACH FLORIDA
AND ABOUT 550 MILES WEST OF BERMUDA. THE SYSTEM IS NOW MOVING

I agree fact789, this system looked like a 45 knot tropical storm earlier today. Also this could of been upgraded with out recon like years long pass. But as I've said earlier we will see in post season.

The wind vectors on that image represent cloud motions, not surface winds. Thus the 50kt barbs.

ATLANTIC...
AS OF 21Z...THE REMNANTS OF SUBTROPICAL STORM ANDREA ARE NEAR
31.5N 70.6W. THIS SYSTEM CONTINUES TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE SE US
COAST AT A FASTER FORWARD SPEED... AND IS FORECAST TO MERGE WITH
AN APPROACHING COLD FRONT AS IT PASSES NEAR BERMUDA ON MONDAY.
THUS...THE POTENTIAL FOR REGENERATION INTO A TROPICAL DEPRESSION
NO LONGER EXISTS.

Bye-bye...adios amiga

My great-grandmother, 93 years-old, is named Andrea Díaz, and I think this will be the only time one will see the other because in six more years my great-grandmother will most likely not be around. She is already more than a decade above the normal living age for any human, especially in Cuba.

Did she know about Andrea?

I wish they could have sent recon out. I'm not criticizing, I understand if they couldn't, but I wish they could have. I keep wondering what they would have found.

Oh well. So long Andrea. You created a nice preseason stir. I don't think you will be forgotten so easily.
