Lovebugs and the tropics
I do NOT mean this as a silly question. The usual heavy influx of Lovebugs -- at least in our area of west central Florida -- are much less noticible this May. I wonder if that has anything to do with weather patterns. Last May, they were thick as pea soup and we had a rather mild tropical season. Thoughts anyone?

We haven't seen many so far this year a few here in there. But last year the front of my house after I cut the grass was black (normally white). There were massive swarms of 1,000's of them. Had to wear a mask to keep from breathing them in when I cut the grass. I don't think it's related to tropical activity but i sure am thankful there not here yet.

That might have been possible a week ago, but we seem to be pretty of smoke now. I don't think I've ever seen so few of them as this May and I've been here 27 years. I'm praying for nice gentle TS to end this horrific dryness. Humidity 32 % today! Like being in Arizona.
