it appears to be sinking far enough south to get out of the high wind shear to the north (the shear is westerly)

but it is over warm waters who knows i'm sure if it was that dangerous being so close, the NHC would at least mention it

i'm looking at 22n 85w and wondering what's happening there. maybe something cooking between the spin off texas & the rotation in the middle of the gulf.

http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/watl/loop-wv.html

we have been slammed 3 days in a row (tampa area) with extremely heavy rain/wind/lightening. our neighbor lost another big tree yesterday. i guess i'm just getting a little nervous.

Usually when the thunderstorms are popping all over the state, development of anything close to the coast will be hindered. The satellite from earlier showed then pop all of the state and diminish near the swirl, overnight and into the morning when the storms over Florida are at a minimum is when I would expect a burst of storm with the little low.(if the wind shear doesn't tear it appart)

There is an obvious cyclonic circulation over Florida, centered over SE Hillsborough county...just watch the movement of the thunderstorms...we're still gettin' dat rain!

That is kind of an interesting radar signature. If it is due to surface low pressure than we might get more rain once it gets out over the gulf tomorrow afternoon.

good thread name.. which way will it go.. there is a fairley good low that has formed near the osceola, polk hardee county line today.. we had multiple vortexes this morning and they have seemed to consolidated this afternoon.. i actually see good curvature and and inflow from all direction.. with a pretty decent spin to it..

the big difference between this and the other low a week or so ago.. is that the surface winds are much more evident.. there are fairly strong winds out of the NE and SW as well as SE .. but its over land.. and unless it gets offshore or reforms nothing will happen just like the other one!!

but something to watch .. i have recived over 5 inches of rain .. overnight and today.. with a lot more coming..

Don't expect the surface pressures to drop much until tomorrow afternoon at the diurnal max when the afternoon Tstorms flare up again.

Whatever the NAM was yapping about will take some time to develop IF the mid level circulation can work its way down to the surface over the gulf. Not much yoyo to the surface pressure at the reporting stations yet.

I don't see any well defined rotation, just an elongated low( trough).

It was well defined earlier but now it
seems to have less of a definition on that loop.

Yes I saw that as well, but I 'd look for a new center to form near a area of T-storms somewhere near the coast or in GOM tonite. My guess only.
