If trees start to fall around you, chances are, there is a hurricane coming.

IF the birds head inland you know a storm is a'coming. That especially applies to the seagulls, and other tropical birds. I've seen it with every tropical scyclone I have been through. Of course, they don't head inland long before a storm, usually not more than 48 hours or so I would say and of course nowdays we know something 48 hours in advance usually. Now that dog is another thing!!!!! If I find Fred doing that at my house I will know for sure we are in some deep poo-poo!!!!!

For the record, I have like five oaks near my house, and I didn't notice it until I thought about it, but I haven't seen a single acorn this year. That's interesting.

Oh, and by the way, I see a big skull shaped cloud over my house right now. What does that mean? Probably nothing.

If a dolphin swims down your road, you're in a hurricane.

I did a quick check of the oak trees in my backyard... I live in NE FL, near St Augustine. At first, I thought there were no acorns... very strange. Then, I saw them... they are very tiny, and just beginning to show sprout on the branches.

Not sure if this is normal, but might explain the lack of acorns people are reporting... it is probably just too soon to be seeing acorns... I think they show up in August.

Anyway, let me know if i am wrong... this oak tree connection is interesting to me.

This link explains acorn formation. According to this, acorns show up 2 weeks into August.

I guess that's why my squirrels are eating, hoarding and burying mushrooms. Things are pretty bad when you start digging up dessicated mushrooms to eat.

A quick poll of some of my friends that claim to be psychic says that this year is going to be worse than 2005. We'll see...

Actually, there is a very interesting correlation between animal activity and sever storms or even earthquakes. I've never been able to pinpoint exactly what it is that the animals sense. Perhaps they can detect differences in air pressure?

If another cat 4 or 5 heads this way Fred is going to have to share his Budweiser.
