The new cimss site looks nice but you will need to have an updated browser to use it. The Regional Real-Time Products has pull down menus for each region making the info much more easy to obtain.

No, it looks way different. If the link I posted re-directs you to the old site you will need to update your browser and click on the link on the page where it says Beta release of the New CIMSS Tropical Cyclones Webpage. I am using IE 7.

If thats what you saw the first time, it means you were not lazy like me and actually updated your browser. I like the user friendliness of this site. It makes everything easier to find.

Or Netscape Navigator 9.x, an improvement over version 8.x.

As for the web site, it's pretty rough in spots. Navigation is lacking once you drill a link or two down. Can't get back to where you were easily.

never have problems with netscape? I was instructed that a lot of websites are not built for netscape and do not function properly in it

Latest versions of Netscape (8.x and higher) actually use the Internet Explorer and Mozilla (Firefox) engines. I very rarely ever run into a web site that doesn't work with Netscape any more. IE is just too dangerous to use on a regular basis (too many vulnerabilities for web sites to put nasty codes on your PC). And as I type this reply, I notice my Netscape 9.0b2 spell checks every word as I type it. Had a few typos Netscape pointed out that I corrected.
