What the heck is CMC picking up next?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

What the heck is CMC picking up next?

Phantom lows? or is there some credibility on this last run? Florida looks like it's under the gun this time.

GFS has been consistently showing development also, it was the first one to pick up on Dean days before it left Africa. Something to watch closely.

I've seen these systems cropping up in the GFS for the past few days, and the UKMET and MM5 (FSU) spit out suggestions of the systems, too, albeit in weaker states than the CMC. It'll be an interesting late August, for certain.

Good spin, low shear (except near Dean), moist, plenty of convection. I'd be surprised if something from this wave train didn't eventually develop. However, at the moment development from the waves does not appear imminent.

I'm a middle school teacher at a small school in Miami and my first block of the year is meteorology. Certainly looks like we'll have a lot of tropical activity to chart and discuss!
