Info about altered (due to Dean) cruise itineraries

#1 Postby baygirl_1 » Sat Aug 18, 2007 11:57 am

(Mods: If this is in the wrong place, feel free to move it wherever is best.)
We have friends who are leaving today on the Holiday out of Mobile. I spoke with them earlier and they are still going. However, they said the itinerary has been changed from Cozumel and Costa Maya to Key West and Freeport, Bahamas. I found this website:
http://www.cruisecritic.com/news/news.cfm?ID=2157
It has cruise ship intinerary changes for several Western Caribbean cruises. I thought those who are scheduled for cruises or have loved ones scheduled for cruises might find this info helpful. At least one of the cruises (the one from NYC) departed Wed., before Dean really got going. Hope this helps anyone who might have concerns.

rerouting west carib cruises to east carib is a matter of fact for cruise companies now...and vice versa as well....they have gotten quite good at it. With Dean being so well predictable compared to some storms the lines have had ample time to setup good replacement itins. Offers of refunds or discounts on future cruises when this happens is also the norm.
