Debate questionable systems

#1 Postby Matt-hurricanewatcher » Wed Sep 05, 2007 10:46 am

I'm making this thread so you can bring up any debateable system you went. Meaning systems like grace 2001 I feel that was hardly a tropical cyclone,. I'm making this thread because I would be interested in hearing your thoughts and why it should be demoted from the system. I don't think we have had one of these.

Grace, yes the nhc recon found a closed LLC at first. It was upgraded to a depression. But feel that the system lossed its organizion after that.

Post away...

I'm not entirely sure this thread is a good idea; it might lead to bashing.

Yay for bashing professional agencies?

Seriously, if anyone has a disagreement with the NHC, while it's their own opinion, the experts made the call and it's been verified in post-season reports. This thread isn't going to do anything.

I hope no bashing but just good discussion of systems,. Debate in real life is not always fair or nice, but I hope it stays above that.

Here is the Advisory from Grace...Yes it had 40 knot winds, but a very poor defined LLC. I would say if it was closed it deserved it, but have heard some pro's say it should not of.
