I think these are the remnants of Ingrid, so the threads should be merged...

well, maybe they should be merged, but we are sort of sharing current weather information in the islands right now.
Currently in SXM we are experiencing heavy thunder. the house is shaking.
and no rain! The sun is shining!
The skies to the North however are quite dark. Maybe it is raining on the other side of the island.

Absolutely msbee, tkanks for these latest infos...whereas i don't tkink that fort the moment it will be appropriate to merge itwith these alerts for the islands seems a little early in my humble opinion! Yeah msbee that's unfortunately your turn to feel it lol , amazing yesterday night and a little kind this afternoon, but i hope nothing too serious in your island, but on sat pic high moisture in vicinity of your area is testifiying the good concensus in putting an yellow alert for you and for me in ours respectively islands stay safe and dry!

I live on Anguilla at Sandy Hill Bay which would be to your north, we got an inch of rain from those rapidly developing T storms as they moved to the north and east.

Well, we got no rain until later at night..at least on the Southern side of St. Maarten.
If Anguilla had rain earlier, then maybe the french side got some of that too.
But about 10:30 PM, the house started shaking again and the sky lit up.
It was quite fierce.
And then we got a nice heavy shower..about an inch of rain.
The thunder and lightning were more dramatic than the rain we received.

We watched the most excellent 'sky show' to the south during dinner, some really vivid cloud to cloud stuff.

Well, we got no rain until later at night..at least on the Southern side of St. Maarten.
If Anguilla had rain earlier, then maybe the french side got some of that too.

OK tkanks Msbee for this info some water without damages that'sgood news for your island happy to known it....hummm and the thunder and lightning waouw it seems that it was amazing for you...ok ok we faced it like you msbee no matter i imagine that ... very violents tstorms as Huc reported in Basse Terre Guadeloupe....me further north very unrealistic too sometimes ....unforgeteable....everybody has continued to speak about in my island, but it's ok right now

About 5 PM, the heavens opened up.
Unfortunately the roads immediately flooded and my husband and I were stuck in traffic.




When I finally did get home, I checked my rain gauge and it had rained 1.5 inches in a little under an hour.
Right now it is still lightning and thundering but the rain has stopped.
