Hurricane Judy??

#1 Postby Cookiely » Wed Sep 19, 2007 8:53 pm

Does anyone remember or know about a Hurricane Judy? I saw a man with a tattoo of a hurricane on his leg and it said Hurricane Judy above the symbol.

No, there has never been a storm named Judy in the Atlantic or Eastern Pacific. There have been many in the WPAC, but it would have said Typhoon Judy if that were the case. Odds are "Hurricane Judy" refers to someone the person knows. :P

Never as a hurricane.

Judy has been used:
13 times in the NW Pacific (last used in 1989)
1 time in the SW Indian Ocean (1965)
1 time in the Australian basin (1965)
2 times in the Southern Pacific (last used in 2004)

Thanks for the info. He did have a lot of Japanese tattoos also. Maybe it was a typhoon.
