NC in drought

#1 Postby storms in NC » Sun Oct 28, 2007 5:32 pm

I keep reading about how the lake need water and Fla is in a drought. Fla is not in a drought. You can take a look at this map and see how bad NC is. We could use a TS cause that is what it would take. But don't hold your breath for one. My well is getting low and I have a deep well. When it spits back it you when you trun on the water you know the water table is getting low. The Farmers have lost big time. But Tropic weather is almost over with. So we will not get rain from any TS. So now I guess the Northeasterns will be the ones to wach for here now.

I know what you mean. Mom said the news reported that one town, in western NC, has LESS than 100 days of water left in its supplies. Thats it...if we do not get lots of rain soon, we will not have any water left. At least not enough to do anything with...

Look at us:

Lake Lanier which is the source of water for millions in the Atlanta metro is going to run dry in about 2 months.

We have had a total water ban here since well before it got out of hand, back in July I think.
