ok... i dont think i posted this so here it goes.. of course mark and i went to the outer banks as hurricane noel passed by in november... wind was pretty strong of course near 40 at times... we had over wash along 12 in hatteras and sand was blowing like crazy.. little or no rain to knock it down... shot some video and photos... i have the photos and a report online... you can check it out here.. http://www.vastormphoto.com/noel2007outerbanks.htm
i will say this... i almost lost the explorer.. i pulled over to let a bulldozer go by to clean off the road and missed the driveway to a house and hit soft wet sand.. sank to the frame as water was rushing down from under the house as waves broke close to the back door of the house... a surge of water washed down and hit the explorer on the passenger side of the vehicle and washed over the window and hood... mark was working on getting a tow truck to get me out.. he showed up about 3 minutes after the wave... lol... stupid move on my part... enjoy the photos...
