Tropical Wave approaching Leeward Islands

#1 Postby GCANE » Mon Jun 02, 2008 7:52 am

A Tropical Wave along 55W has been holding up for the last couple days.

It has some defined UL Outflow mostly north of the ITCZ.

Shear is about 20 knts and dropping.

Even though convection has dropped once the sun came up and the SCAT satellites don't show a surface low; it may still be worth watching since it seems to be pulling out of the ITCZ and has a good feed of high Theta-E air from the ITCZ.
