My boss remembers that storm well, he was in SW Houston when it hit. He said it just rained and did not stop for what seemed forever and helplessly watched as his car was destroyed. He also explained how he had to camp at the motel he was staying at for a few days before the roads were clear.

Now this graphic seems to be showing a trend eh? And the satellites look interesting this afternoon down in that area.
