Hurricane and Tropical Storm Watch/Warning Breakpoints

#1 Postby brunota2003 » Wed Jul 02, 2008 12:47 am

I do not know if this has been posted before, or if it warrants a sticky (I think it is pretty cool info), but here is a listing of all the NHC Tropical Storm and Hurricane Watch/Warning Breakpoints:

There are four different ways to see this:

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/breakpoints.shtml?gm

The first (and linked) is Google Maps with the little diamonds. The second is there is a Graphical Table...the third way are graphical maps. The fourth is a GIS Shapefile.

The last three ways can be found on the linked page at the top.

That is pretty cool! I always wondered why it seemed like the same places were mentioned every hurricane season.

Neat! I learned something new today.
