New Player Southeast of Bertha?

#1 Postby HouTXmetro » Sun Jul 06, 2008 3:42 am

Looks almost as good as Bertha convection wise. Is this our potential next storm? If so can we expect it to follow some type of weakness created by Bertha?

This region is quite messy, I don't think its likely that anything will come off it as it heads into the still unfavorable Caribbean Sea.

The area is southeast of Bertha and is days away from the Caribbean Sea.

Yeah true but the shear there has been unfavorable for a long old time as long as the TUTT remains where it is then the shear will continue. There are hints it may start to lift out of the way and so I don't expect the shear to be as bad as it was for say 93L and we may end up seeing an invest from this if it keeps toghether further west but I equally think shear may just be a little too high further west.
