An interesting little system has develop NE of the islands around 20N 57W moving southwest. Could be nothing but interesting to say the least. Any comments appreciated.

Sort of reminds me of Erin from 1995. The structure is not as nice and it doesn't have much at the surface. The positions and future track and time of year is really close though...

What you're looking at are a few storms on the western side of a rather strong upper-level low. Development chances are quite low due to the high shear environment. The storms won't persist there.

I do not believe, at this time, that it is likely to develop. As it advances west, it will enter a region in which prevailing conditions are fast westerly surface flow in the Caribbean and easterly flow around 30N; it will be difficult to form a counter-clockwise LLCC from scratch in such an environment.
