Amtrak and a TC

Just curious since I've never ridden Amtrak:

I'm scheduled to head down to Miami from N. Carolina on Monday evening--I would arrive in Miami on Tuesday evening.

Is anyone here aware of, or has had experience with, what would cause Amtrak to stop running--and effectively get me stuck somewhere in the middle of Georgia or Florida as Fay moves northward?

I'm sure there is a certain wind threshold, but I'm wondering if they may stop trains in Florida just as a precaution.

Yes, I've been a fan of Amtrak for many years, and, once did have an experience (not due to weather) where they needed to halt service during our trip...

I know they do have a policy of halting service (similar to the airlines) when a hurricane warning is issued, so, you need to call them as soon as possible to determine if your train is still scheduled to run on Monday...

Chances are they will say it's still scheduled to run (at this time), on the condition that a hurricane warning is not issued before the train's arrival down here...
