Suspicious perturbed area east of Guadeloupe (Invest 90L)

#1 Postby Gustywind » Mon Sep 01, 2008 11:41 am

Seems that there's a suspect perturbed system just east of my island ( Guadeloupe). Convection seems popping and trying to organize decently this morning, pressures are very low in vicinity, and consequently dots are emerging a bit right now. Our Pro Mets of Meteo-France have already issued and yellow alert at 10 am this morning for strong showers and thunderstorms.
In fact for them this perturbed area is staying near us and bringing a higher chance to see developping numerous strong showers locally added to thunderstorms with a possible electric activity occuring this afternoon throught Tuesday night  . T  They expect amounts of shower close to 60mm and more near the mountains. Bears watching it , let's see what happens. We will have more info at 530pm this afternoon. :)

this area was actually circled during the TWC tropical update today as an area they are watching. It caught me by surprise, and I had to come here to the computer to look at it closer.
